I received the graduate degree and the Ph.D. degree,both from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. In 2012, I joined the « Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione », University of Pisa, where I was a researcher with a postdoc position until September 2019. Since October 2019, I have been with the Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes, Gif-sur-Yvette, France. From Sept. 2020 I’m a permanent lecturer (enseignant-chercheur) at IPSA in the Parisian campus of Ivry-sur-Seine. From September 2012 to November 2012 and from September 2013 to November 2013, I was a Visiting Researcher with the CMRE NATO Research Center, La Spezia, Italy. From May 2017 to April 2018, I spent a period of one year as a Visiting Researcher with the Signal Processing Group, Technische Universität Darmstadt. My professional expertise encompasses different areas of the statistical signal processing, with particular focus on point estimation and hypothesis testing, performance bounds, misspecification theory, robust and semiparametric statistics and statistical learning theory. I was a recipient of the 2019 EURASIP JASP Best Paper Award. I am in the organizing committee of the 2020 IEEE Radar Conference to beheld in Florence in September 2020. I was in the organizing committee of the 2nd Workshop on Cognitive Information Processing 2010, of the 2014 IEEE ICASSP (International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing), and I was the Publication Chair of the 3rd International Workshop on Compressed Sensing Theory and its Applications to Radar, Sonar and Remote Sensing (CoSeRa) 2015.
